As a big fan of Metallica, one of the best and most original Metal bands in the world, I’m surprised to find that a lot of my friends who prefer chart stuff and house music own at least one Metallica album.
They seem to be the heaviest band who’ve had chart success and their anthems such as ‘Enter Sandman’ have been heard in many mainstream forms. So have they bridged the gap from a specialist genre to the masses?
